Facebook has recently announced its new project, Discover – a system that will enable more users to access a range of internet services through the platform.
This week, the social media giant has outlined an update into its Free Basics internet connection program. With this mobile initiative, Facebook is trying to connect nearly 50% of the world’s population that can’t access the internet.

The company confirmed that Discover is a mobile web and Android app technology, which can be used to browse the web. It will also have a daily balance of free data from the participating mobile network operators.
