Instagram has recently announced that it is now expanding the user access to the Instagram Direct messages in the web version. After a year of testing, it is enabling users to communicate with their Instagram DMs through a desktop. Instagram started testing its desktop access to Direct in February 2019, and it began rolling out to selected users in January 2020.

More users can access the option – it can be checked by signing into the Instagram account in www.instagram.com. With this initiative, Instagram’s messaging option will become widely accessible – as many users are limited to access via the app in different regions.
